What are you most afraid of doing?

Fears are a way of us trying to protect ourselves from pending danger. But 99% of the time the danger we try to protect ourself from doesn’t really exist, it’s all in our head. That’s where the acronym False Evidence Appearing Real comes from.

Fear is often evident when we want to protect ourselves from the unknown, when we don’t know what’s on the other side. Or to protect us from an experience that we may have heard someone else may have had, so we’re taught that surely the same thing must happen to us. But in both those cases the picture in our mind does match the actual outcome for us.
